Yes it would. Republicans hold several seats in Cali and are likely going to hold them. If, somehow, all of Cali's districts went Democrat they would pick up more seats in the House.
In the Senate, no. There are only 35 seats up total and the only one is Cali will be a Democrat.Comment

Actually, I say there isn't hope for Dem's in the Senate till 2020-22 but there is a small chance coming. In this current election, 2 Republican senators held on to their seats but both are currently under indictment by federal prosecutors.
If either of these guys is found guilty, it's pretty likely they'd lose their seat which would mean special elections before 2020. Meaning if Dem's can make it a 1 or 2 seat race now, they could potentially gain seats before 2020.In November, you can vote for America's next president or its first dictator.Comment
