Spend some time purging your followers to keep your "following" number lower. Looks better if you have a higher number of followers than following.
Don't pay to get fake followers. Get your followers organically because it's more meaningful to whatever it is you're trying to do with your account. It does nothing for you except inflate your numbers. It's as obvious as a guy who lives in a trailer with has a Maserati parked next to it.

this is exactly the kind of advice I was hoping I might find here - thanks for taking the time for the help
bronco67 - I'm not sure what I am doing with the page yet (to be honest)- so far it's just been fun as a scrapbook project digging thru old work.
