Every couple minutes a 2 or 3 new accounts go online. Sucks for some, because it is creating a bunch of dead ghost pages for api users.

So how do they do this then? I am not a chaturbate expert, so does it mean that I can sign up for an account at chaterbate and start broadcasting straight away, without providing any proof of who I am, or more importantly, how old I am?

I would have thought that my ID and age are the first things I'd need to provide before being given the platform to go live to all those people...

Or is this some kinda sub-account thing? If so, then easy to nip in the bud no?

Not completely sure, but I think you can get an account and broadcast without having to show ID. If you want to accept tips, then you have to provide proof.

Well that fucking amazes me - I don't doubt it - Ive looked into the signup pages as I couldn't fucking believe it... But apparently its true - How times have fucking changed...

We had a hotel in palm springs at one point. It was all wired out with cams in every room and in the public spaces etc. Of course, the entire thing was staged as in people actually fucking were being paid as were the extras in the background that were just making it look like a hotel that was actually open to the public etc, and we wanted to get the rooms on as many different places as possible.

The hoops we had to jump through, with everyone having to be pre approved and IDs submitted and all this had to be done in advance etc, the entire thing got scrapped as it was impossible to book performers to come to the hotel and have them pre approved beforehand etc, when we didn't have their IDs in advance etc made it impossible... This was however in 2003 / 2004

To think that these days a cam platform will let just anyone broadcast on their system with ZERO CHECKS at all amazes me... OK they cant earn money, but still this surely opens up the platform to all sorts of problems.

What's to stop people broadcasting beast, or kiddy content, just for the shock value, and having it appear alongside legit streams from pro performers? And also, appearing on white label sites at the same time?

I mean obviously there must be something in place to stop it happening, as I never hear about it, and far be it from me to question how Chaturbate want to run their business. I mean, it certainly successful enough. Like I say it just amazes me that after the many thousands of Dollars that were ploughed into setting up that hotel, only to find the restrictions killed the golden goose, to think that these days a 15 year old could just signup and broadcast, with no checks at all, just for the intention of pissing off her parents.

I'm curious what url they were spamming as I can't seem to find them now. Wonder if its the same guy who hijacks broadcaster accounts and runs videos as a live broadcast while putting an overlay image with a url redirect over the entire cam and chat room.

He was not hijacking accounts... these were all fresh accounts.
