That just isn't true. If it were true when I bought my house and got homeowners insurance there wouldn't have been a clause in the contract telling me that certain types of dog breeds weren't covered. In short, if I get a pit, or an Akita, a Chow, or a Doberman and it bites someone the insurance won't cover it.

Maybe dogs aren't as aggressive because of more recent breeding, but there are still breeds that are plenty aggressive. Stereotypes exist for a reason.
