Imagine biting into a juicy beef burger that was produced without killing animals. Meat grown in a laboratory from cultured cells is turning that vision into a reality. Several start-ups are developing lab-grown beef, pork, poultry and seafood—among them Mosa Meat, Memphis Meats, SuperMeat and Finless Foods. And the field is attracting millions in funding. In 2017, for instance, Memphis Meats took in $17 million from sources that included Bill Gates and agricultural company Cargill.

I think I started a thread about this a while back - some company in San Fran is trying to grow meat in a lab. Their goal is to open up a restaurant and serve meat grown in a lab, and then sell it to everyone. The problem is it's expensive to do and takes up a lot of space.Herschel Savage

I've tried that all plant burger patty from my local A&W (Beyond Meat TM), I honestly liked it better than the burgers I've had there.
Lab grown meat, if they can replicate everything the way it should be, I'm all for not killing animals if we don't have to. As long as it doesn't give me cancer.Comment

Laboratory meat resembles a piece of paper. Why eat this? Why develop it? If you decide to give up meat, why should you eat it? People who eat it try to deceive themselves and it's repulsive. It is better to become vegan or simply not to eat meat.Comment

I'm thinking about the way they're going to use additives to make it resemble real meat's taste, fucking gross.
This might be normal in 50 years but it'll never be the real deal.Deposit Today With BTC - Play With BitcoinsComment
