Our family has experienced two fish related tragedies within the last couple of weeks and we are starting to wonder what the fuck is going on.
The first involved our son Michael. he loves to fish and has been doing so at the local lake for over 5 years. We have no reason to worry until last Sunday when he got bitten.
Apparently, Michael had caught a Pike. A pretty common fish that likes to eat other fish, however, the one he caught was the biggest the fishing association said they had personally seen. It was over 23lb and actually took a bite out of Michaels' arm as he was putting it in the net.
The second was a pet. We have some tropical fish at home some of which are a piranha. We have had piranah as pets for over 1 year with no problem but on Thursday our sofia decided to feed the piranah bread. She took a few slices of bread and broke them into the tank. When the fish didn't take the bait she started to push the bread towards the fish.
This is when they attacked. First one fish bit then another, then another until the fish tank was red with blood.
Luckily she pulled her hand out pretty quickly but still, the fish managed to eat parts of her fingers to the bone.
