    what is the best way to stream videos for a paysite?

    Hello,

    So I have about 3TB's of videos and content that need to be streamed via 5 to 10 different websites. I am currently working on a website which in it's entirety will be close to 2TB of streaming media. I would love to know the secret of where to put these, and what software is best to stream these via either wordpress or html5 (inserted into a post).

    Is a CDN the best possible solution, streaming hosts, dedicated servers? I have been debating and going insane over this. If anyone could help who knows, I would greatly appreciate them!

      Use a cdn if you are expecting alot of traffic although it can be considerably more expensive than using a dedicated server. It's a trade off between user experience and cost.

      WordPress can be suitable for managing video content but I'd recommend you get a script such as kvs or the likes

                  With that quantity of content and the dependability you need, you would start by getting a dedicated server and then choose a CMS of your choice with a good video player to display the videos.

                  As you grow or have more money to invest, adding CDN is a great option to improve user experience.

                      Options I would consider:
                      1. CDN- although this might be the most expensive option, it's the best because all your visitors will get the video without buffering.

                      2. Dedicated server - if most of your visitors are from one continent, this can be a viable option

                      3. Multiple fast vps - if you are streaming the mp4 file with no encoding, a few high-speed vps with load balancing would be better than a dedicated server since your main bottleneck is bandwidth...This would essentially be your own cdn and is the best option IMO.

                      It's hard to recommend when you don't state your expected bandwidth usage
