I wonder this quite a bit when we are booked to shoot a major porn star. The girl arrives and I'm thinking... "what the hell is so special about this girl?" But once the hair & makeup are done, it becomes very obvious. It's not always about the canvas that you have to work with, sometimes it's about the finished painting. Once the hair/makeup is applied, the girls become the character....and that's the character that people have fallen in love with.
Norma Jeane Baker was not much to look at.
