It's just part of their plan to consolidate large corporations at the top of rankings. Smaller operations don't have the resources to continually jump through Googles hoops.

Yes for us. Not for the average Mom & Pop business online. They probably don't know most of Google recents updates and tricks to keep big corporations at the top.
