    Since when do 8 episodes of a show constitute a full season?

    I was just settling in to watch a few minutes of an enjoyable sitcom and the announcer says, "Stay tuned for the season finale of the HBO hit series, Silicon Valley!"

    I'm like, what? The season almost literally just started???

    We live in the most unbelievably lazy times. Just wow

              I would rather have 8 really good episodes than 12 or 15 or more and have a bunch of them be boring or shitty.

                  Yeah. Shortened season. Supposedly next is back to 10.

                  I’m assuming they’re doing a weekly replay. They used to do that. I just use the app now.

                      when i read pre-season it's only 8 episodes i decided to not watch any and watch em all at once at the end.

                              To be fair though, it's a pretty good watch all the way through. I'd definitely recommend watching all of them in a row. It'd make for a decent 4 hours of entertainment one night.

                                              I agree I was like the season is over last week.. But I like Silicon Valley.. I binge watched the first 6 seasons in one sitting then started watching it last season.

                                                          I was disappointed in the fact that this season was short but it looks like they are finally making some headway with Pied Piper. Last 2 episodes were great.

                                                                  Well I didn't have as negative view on the season, I did feel like they made Dinesh overly unlikeable to help fill the void of TJ Miller. And they had to ride the Jared train a bit too much.

                                                                  Now 8 episodes of Barry, now that left me satisfied, yet also wanting more.
