One remark here, I doubt they are following a blueprint laid out by Republicans, they are following a blueprint laid out by the whole establishment in the Washington DC.
It doesn't matter if it's democrats or republicans, it appears that the best time in their political careers is once they are in the opposition and can bitch, moan and overload the world with their snug remarks and block everything while cashing fat checks, mobilizing donors, preparing future favors for big business and virtue signal to their "base".
That's why I'd expect that also a big part of the mainstream GOP establishment is now likely a tad uncomfortable since they're actually forced to get behind a real agenda, take a stance and actually deal with real issues as opposed to recycling their old overplayed talking points while maintaining the status quo and the business as usual.
