    rzhevskii copy disney toons

    Hello,

    I have bought some toons to this toonist and everything was ok but i got problems with disney because he copy the toons !

    rzhevskii sold me copies of disney !

    My order was a cat and a bird and not copies of disney world.

    I'm very disappointed, i need to remove the toons from my website.

      I bought 4 toons from this toonist, i removed all of them from my website, i can't know if he copy or not the others.

              What does he said? I bought 4 toons from him and I'm 100% sure they are original... I'm really surprised to hear that. Did you took his 15$ special? If so you know thoses toons are made by somebody that work for him and not by himself directly...

                              No I' just saying maybe he have a lazy guy 'in house' and that maybe he wasnt aware that this toon is copied from Disney... I sent him the link to the thread but he's offline atm... let wait to see his answer before hitting the guy.

                              Also I think Najoh should had tried to contact him before posting here and get his side of the story or if he did at least post his answer about this matter.

                                                                                      the bird is my fault and I apologize for this.
                                                                                      cat, dog, elephant - drawn from photos. They look like Disney or others catoon companies because I have to draw cute funny toons and I used the same method of transformation for proportions - make big eyes, small pink noses, long eyelashes etс.
                                                                                      If you use such transformation for any photos of puppies or kittens it will look like Disney style because they do same things.

                                                                                                  take the pink bow off the cat and they have nothing to go on. a few color changes to the bird and it wouldn't even look the same...

The problem isn't that the drawing itself is too Disney-ish stylistically, it's that the character design is too obviously close to Marie from The Aristocats. (White fur combined with the distinctive two pink bows.)

                                                                                                              You won't get sued for drawing cats the way you're drawing them, they just have to be unique cats that can't be confused with the intellectual property of huge corporations who market to kids.

No one is saying that you copied the picture of the cat directly from Disney. The problem is that the cat has the same exact same combination of coloring and bows as the kitten "Marie" from THE ARISTOCATS.

                                                                                                                              That by itself might not have been enough to bring the wrath of Big Mickey, but then it's combined on the same site as a direct rip off of "Zazu" from THE LION KING. Disney's people have probably seen enough cartoon kitten porn based on their character to draw that connection, even if you didn't consciously intend it.

                                                                                                                              Why not just recolor it? It beats telling people that they can't have cartoon cats without legal hassles from the House of Mouse.

                                                                                                                                          I think you have never seen Turkish, Czech, Polish toons and thousands of USSR cartoons. But they are exist and have thousands of cartoon characters.
