You are being scammed out of the ass. I have been hit buy the following people for over 2 years. I have notified wts about it years ago and nothing has been done. They get in with impunity, to the degree that i have to hire someone to look at all wts transactions. Here is a list of the members. Now of course, i am not posting real names as these people do not exist. Here is the list. Check your databases for them. If you have them, you have been robbed.

Well I see that check verifications haven't advanced in the years that I stopped accepting checks....It makes no sense...If I can pay a bill online with a check, it won't go through unless there is money in the account....Why you can buy porn with not only insufficient accounts, but accounts that don't even fucking exist is beyond me.

Use a phone verification system where the new member has to call a phone number and get a code to enter in. Their phone number is then logged and you know more about who they really are.

There are systems like this already in place. If you're problem is big enough, you should implement this.

The problem is that so many of these people use the same info repeatedly. You'd think the check processing service would have a fraud database in place, but it seems non-existent.

yea, half of these names i see in movie credits.. terrence m stamps was in something via on demand and my gf and i got a big laugh. their gateway has more holes in it than the us/mexican border.

That's not entirely true, there is no check system that can look in your bank account and determine if the money is there before approving the check. The good systems use driver license number and public records info to verify your identity, but even the best systems can't determine if money is in your account, or even if the account is valid. People transpose numbers in their bank account all the time when entering them by phone and the payment still goes through, only to come back later as an invalid account number, but as long as they type in a valid routing number it will go through.

That being said the fact that someone is able to make up a name and a account number multiple times and still have it go through is ridiculous. I can't believe the check system doesn't use even the most basic public records info to verify identity, that is insane...
