Anybody else remember this show from the 80's?

I was talking to a group of people about my age and I was the only person in the group that remembered the Friday the 13th tv show. I was trying to put down the case that Buffy owed a lot to that show but apparently nobody else remembers it.

Does anybody else remember it? In the Philly market, I remember it being on on a weekend after the cartoon slot but not sure if it was Saturday or Sunday.

A few months ago the Sci Fi channel ran a marathon with all the episodes. I remember as a kid being all excited when I heard about it, but was horribly disappointed when I actually saw it since it had nothing to do with Jason.

There was also a Nightmare on Elm St TV show where Freddy introduced each episode but wasn't actually in them. Another huge disappointment...

It had nothing to do with Jason. It was people working in a magic shop solving 'spooky' mysteries with an older guy in charge. Hence me thinking Buffy owed a lot to it.

Yes I remember the show but it was always a late night Friday or Saturday thriller, lol hard to think of it following cartoons (net that most episodes were really all that scary). Anyway like most of these shows I wish they would have given it some type of closure at the end for the fans that followed!

I could be remembering it wrong but that is where I remember it being. Maybe not right after but perhaps noon or so. I remember watching it on a black and white tv my parents let me have in my bedroom and that was usually a weekend thing. I also remember Fame tv show being on either side of it so that would be a weekend afternoon for sure.

Yup, I sure do..back when channel 3 was still NBC too Them being CBS now messes me up every time I go back home.

I keep hearing that V is being remade again.

Damn I wonder how that is going to turn out. I wish they showed the original still. Growing up there were 3 tv events that my grandfather and I used to wait for. The mini series V, the Planet of the Apes marathon and The Wizard of Oz. I was allowed to stay up late and my grandfather would always buy a ton of treats.

My kids laugh at me because around Christmas time I watch the specials as they come on. They are always telling me you know you can just buy that. They don't get it's not the same.

It is amazing how many people do not know Chiller reruns all of the good older scary/horror shows. On Sunday they had a Dark Shadows marathon.

Yeah it was an Easter thing because I used to moan if we didn't get back from my Nana's in time. If we weren't going to make it I insisted we watched it at her place. Then, my nana is a Dorothy, my dog at the time was a Toto and I had a great uncle Henry and Aunt Em. We had to watch it.
