Dear Ivana,
I can’t remember when was the last time I wrote an unofficial letter to someone.
Probably about 15 years ago, as a teenager, who was hungry to connect with his new friends, after he returned back from a summer camp in the times of no cell phones making communication easier, more often and less articulate.
The reason I decided to write this letter, is to thank you, to thank you for everything a successful woman, successful businesswoman and public person can mean to someone, with a burning ambition and will to achieve his goals.
I was born in the former Czechoslovakia, a country of your origin, and I lived for 20 years in a city that’s very familiar to you, but I never would use this as a title to contact you, in fact, I didn’t even want to write about this, as I don’t consider this having any relevance to your or my life or to what I want to achieve in the future.
But I mentioned this to help me illustrate, how do people see your career and personality around here.
As always – there are two fractions:
One, that’s of course in majority - and that’s full of envy, bitter feelings and un competence to give any sensible direction to one’s own life, without trying to put down others, trying to falsely justify someone’s success as something undeserved.
The other one – that’s the minority where I stand, is filled with admiration, respect and gratefulness for someone, who reached the skies of success with his /hers unbreakable will, strong discipline and a strong character.
My own goals are absolutely clear, as far as I spent about 15 semesters on universities with partly technical, partly economical education, and working part time or full time jobs ever since I was 16 - I’m currently mainly engaged in IT / corporate management for an international company, that I’m loyal for over three and a half years now, and where I took over the control over the whole run of the company just four weeks ago, making this to be a huge challenge for someone in my age.
Over the past years - I received the chance to travel the world in my 20’s, I received the chance to learn from those more experienced, I received the chance to build my own instinct about people (that will never be perfect but that I will always trust), I received a chance to learn that exhausting and unidentifiable 1 pct. about how the world works.
I received the chance to realize, that an individual with the right mindset, with a strong will to achieve his goals, with an unbreakable spirit, that can’t be torn apart by any of the personal tragedies that happened to me during the past two years, can achieve success and built his own work life balance and personal freedom, to be able to fully benefit to those, who he loves, who he belongs to, who he respects.
I’ll never leave anyone, who got me started on any bad terms, I believe in loyalty, but the times are changing, and in the turbulent environment of internet business, where I belong at the moment – a lifetime of a product, or the lifetime of the owner of the product, is counted in years.
My ultimate goal therefore is to reach a certain level of income by constantly building and evolving a successful business, to reach a certain level of personal savings, to reach an undisputable reputation, and to wait for the right opportunity, to pursue my ultimate goal.
My ultimate goal is to own my own recording studio, to own my own record label.
No matter what technological / sociological changes is the entertainment business going through, I believe that there will always be space for someone with an intuitive, innovative approach and a deep love for what he’s doing.
I want to reach this by the time I’m 40 years old.
And I want to reach this in the only country that ever rewarded me for the principles I live by – the principles of determination, unbreakable spirit, hard work, constant self improvement and praising challenge as something, that helps to sharpen your edge.
I want to reach my goals in the United States of America.
Ever since I was 5 years old and my father put a cowboy hat on my head, ever since I could play with my first Colt 1860 Navy replica, ever since I could watch US movies, read US books, ever since I could start educating myself about the history and culture and dream about living, working, enjoying life in my dream country.
I can still live here, behind the former iron curtain, but I do spend about 20 – 30 days in US every year, and my heart, my soul and my spirit lives in USA 365 days a week.

Thank you for living a full life, for inspiring anyone, especially those who were born under the bad sign, to live the life they always wanted to live, to get rid of the chains of mediocrity and square morality, to get rid of the feeling of guilt for being different than your peers, for having ambition.

As crazy as it may sound, yes.
