saw it, i liked it. Quite a depressing storyline, and they captured the atmoshpere of a cold and snowy place in the middle of nowhere very well. It's a solid movie
The victim's father was neither stupid or violent...nor was the reserve cop (Graham Greene from Dances with Wolves).
I was disappointed Renner didn't get to fire off a single arrow.
They should do a spinoff where Renner and Olsen show up pretending to be government agents solving crimes then when things go badly they transform into Hawkeye and Scarlet Witch and kick some ass.

I agree. I just finished watching it. I think they dragged it out a lot longer than it needed to be but wow what an awesome story line and it's based on a true story God Bless That Girl a true warrior.
I was impressed with Elizabeth Olsens performance, she is a force of her own to be reckoned with just like her sisters the Olsen twins.

Check out a movie called Ingrid Goes West. Olsen plays a girl who lives in Venice, California and makes her living as an Instagram model. Aubrey Plaza plays a girl who becomes obsessed with her and starts stalking her. Both women give great performances, but Olsen, in particular, has the more subtle, harder role to play and she is fantastic at it.
Very good movie. You should check other two movies from the same writer Hell or High Water and Sicario if you haven't.
Great movies, I always used to say screen writer makes the movie, not a director.
I'd take great screenplay and average director VS average screenplay and great director any time.
Was super unrealistic part for me in comparison to all the rest of the movie.
Sure, it jumped the shark at the shootout...but "based on" doesn't mean it's a documentary of pure factual events. Hey, we gotta have at least a bit of mindless drama to satisfy our bloodlust.
