Ive tried a number of dvd rental services so I can give some input.

Netflix has by far the fastest service and the largest inventory of movies. If you are a very frequent renter you should know in advance that they run this program whereby you get lower priority to get dvds stocked as long wait and very long wait than someone who only manages a few rentals a month. I ended up quiting and am currently using walmart although i plan to quit there and go back to netflix at the end of this month. Netflix has many dvd distribution centers and usually their Ft Lauderdale center got my returns the next day after they were mailed. Netflix also has their system where the movies dont need to go back to one central location, they mail out from all these centers across the country. I usually saw shipment of the new movie the same day they got the old one.

filmcaddy.com has a 30 day free trial and they pack their dvds the best. Their selection is far worse than Netflix and much slower.

walmart.com has a 30 day free trial but their selection is lacking and they also tend to be slow on delivery.

I'm using NetFlix and I'm disappointed with the amount of new releases they have available. But you can't beat not having any late fees and it normally takes 1-2 days pending on your location. Fortunately, NetFlix just opened a distribution center in Coppell, TX which is 15 miles from where I live.

Netflix sure beats going to Blockbuster, only to find the selection unavailable....or Hollywood Video.

They don't update with new releases as fast as I'd like...but, the service is fantastic and no late fees when I forget to return movies.

              Two thumbs up!
