Deej Did a new tour for me...

Deej just did a new tour for me. Basically took aspects of my old look and took me to the modern age. After 10 years, it was like pulling teeth to finally kick myself in the ass to do it but it finally LIVE as of a few hours ago.

Still working out a few little things but, I have to say Deej is TOP notch to work with, listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly what I was asking for and fast

What's your connection speed? In all my testing so far it opens in seconds. The videos stream instantly etc... and I'm only on a 5mg down.

I'm not a designer and I know that things have changed since the implementation of CSS... but shouldn't that header image be chopped up? It's massive, and yes it did load a little slower than it should have... I don't think that's a server or a surfer issue, I just think it should be chopped up.

i ran the tour page thru the validator and yikes. Awful lot of juicy SE copy wasted with graphics too. Looks pretty cool though.

Yup, I agree totally. The designs still a little work in progress. There's little things like making the little video box images rotate and that will require some slicing etc. after the design is totally done, that header should be optimized quite a bit.

Hey thanks for the plug :P

Im actually chopping the headers up real soon and making some more rotational shit in the headers.

This wasnt something I started from scratch with and im here just to spruce up and add an update feel to an already extreme site

The load time will be cut down when i finish with the headers and such.

Yup. Deej took a couple tours I already had added some new design to them, made the whole thing bigger and added more "stuff" and created the site to work around the new streaming video previews. Did a great job

I'm on a 20mbit connection. I'm not saying it's slow to be mean or anything, I'm honestly trying to help. Sounds like Deej is already on optimization though, so I'm sure he'll ger 'er done. Looks nice.
