GFY was started by Lensman, Wizzo was the first mod on here. I was one of the first member.

Back then Lens owned amateur pages, wich was the biggest PPC program. He used this board as support board for his program too.

What made GFY grow so fast was that they were giving shirts to everybody.

A couple years into it, Lens or Lars, I'm not too sure, had the idea to buy signatures and create a market on gfy, he was buying the sigs of the top dogs and spending thousands on posters to keep the board active. It created a huge market and a lot lot of webmasters were way more active. It eventually turned into a sig whore market and took quality of the board, but it's also a reason why this board became so busy.

It's been downhill since then thought.

Pretty much except for everything after the words - what made gfy grow.

No it was not originally Canadian I am the oldest active account #2 account I believe. It was my job at the time to find all you fuckers and get you to sign up

Wizzo put the code on the server I believe and did the original install of VB

GFY was started in California.

Plus wasnt it some off program that really went crazy with buying almost everyones sigs?
