Being on a diet is also a psychological change. Not to mention most people go on diet also start working out and generally live better. So I wouldn't say it doesn't bring happiness.
Oh and sometimes it's the small things that bring happiness. It doesn't have to be a radical change in your life

sounds to me like you should just consider calling it a life. nothing to be ashamed about. you're not being happy isn't really anyone else's business. them being upset at you ending your own misery is probably on of the more selfish reactions people have. so don't worry about it man! if you don't like life, man up and just bow out. no reason to prolong the pain, misery, suffering and boredom of your existence.
its time to just be honest about the situation.. you gave life a shot.. it wasn't for you. nothing to be ashamed of.
good luck!Comment

That is one of the best interviews I saw on Conan, lol. He's just so right about the lack of appreciation in our microwave society. I mean you take a box out of the freezer and stick it in the microwave, then stand there tapping your foot saying "come on!! hurry up, jeeeeeez". When in times past you'd have to grow and harvest that, kill that meat, prep everything, cook it over a fire or, god forbid, an oven for an hour or two.
And we tap our feet and complain that our pot pie takes a few minutes in the nuke machine.

We can't appreciate anything because we are too busy busting our asses so we don't lose our homes.. It's nice that guy has rich and famous and has the time to spend to consider these things.. Most of us don't.. and that extra 30 seconds might mean not eating dinner that night..That is one of the best interviews I saw on Conan, lol. I've never met anyone who claimed they didnt have time to eat a meal unless it goes from freezer to stomach in under 5 minutes. Sounds like poor planning more than anything.
Reminds me of a pic from the news recently where a guy in line at the free soup kitchen was taking pictures with his cell phone.. something wrong with that.
I'm guessing that if our past generations could peek through a window at how we're doing, they'd write a note and hold it up to the window and it'd say "You're doing it wrong"43-922-863 Shut up and play your guitar.

Or, we can stop making excuses and just learn to appreciate what we have.We can't appreciate anything because we are too busy busting our asses so we don't lose our homes.. Before you reply next time, grab a pen and paper and write it out by hand. Then ask yourself if you appreciate how it works now or if you were too busy to care.
For added effect, imagine having to bring that letter to the post office and wait 4-6 weeks for a response back.
Being too busy isn't an excuse to take things for granted, it's a reason NOT too.Comment

Last time I felt like that, I decided a drastic change was in order... Sold all my shit and bought a one way ticket to Costa Rica.
Best thing I ever did really. Not because now I live in Costa Rica, but because it gave me a chance to take a look at my life and start with a clean slate.Comment
