    LOL, properties in USA are DAMN CHEAP NOW...

    They are extremely cheap... it's the best time to buy...

    I can't believe that prices of properties are actually cheaper than in most 3rd World Countries.. Incredible....

              cheap to buy, not necessarily cheap to own ;)
              when you pay property taxes, they are not usually going to be based on the sale price - that is why the banks are eager to sell foreclosed properties at such low prices as they have been lately. between taxes, upkeep, and liability insurance it is simply not worth holding on to the foreclosed properties in most urban areas.

              the price of vacant land has not moved significantly.

                  Also keep in mind, with properties being so cheap the neighborhood you are looking at now could look completely different in 5-7 years from now.
