seems to me , that's what concerts are about now, "look at me I'm cool" I'm at this and this event. Same shit happened @ the AVN Awards with Lil Wayne, it was live streamed, and everyone had their phones out as well.

Last year they were very adamant about not having any phones, recording devices used during the Taping of the show. Showtime has an exclusive on it I believe. This year not a word said.

DMX is an incredible talent and he's risking losing everything because he has an illness. He's a hard core addict with multiple addictions, as real as fucking cancer in terms of potential consequences.

I wish him all the best and hope he can learn to live in a very fucked up world without hurting himself more than he has already. He needs people around him to help and support him, not judge, participate or have their hand out. Not gonna hold my breath on any of the above

He's dealing with some heavy ish, whatever his future I hope he can get well and enjoy the profits from his gifts to us.

Beyond all that though, damn. dude needs some real help

1000% agreed. let's not enjoy a moment but rather document it for our social network 'friends' to prove...I'm sure what exactly?

for real no judgment as I (thankfully) grew up in an era before cell phones, twit, insta, fb, etc and I do empathize with how much more difficult to be a kid coming up these days is but it is a interesting cultural shift.

not one I'm convinced is an overall positive, feels like with online life it's more important to document rather than experience actual real life, in real time

I think that inhibits real self-expression and privacy, values that at one point used to be taken for granted (if hidden by some for real reasons)
