    Cable and electric are both going up 18%

    I received notice this week saying that both my cable and my electric rates are going up 15-18%. Funny timing. Makes you wonder if they are doing this because of the stimulus bill... that rate increase pretty much eats up a good portion, if not all, of the weekly check increase that most people will be getting.

    Bring on the inflation...

                  What providers are still doable via FTA? I been having trouble with DishNetwork, and ExpressVu is outta commission for a while at least.

                          dishnet is working fine if you have the latest fixes. I haven't had to install a new patch for I think almost 2 weeks now. They were hitting it frequently for a while, but the patches always came out within 12 hours or less.

                          edit: just checked and it has been up since March 3.
