The liberal crowd you think you're aligned with, they'd crucify you for the statement you just made. They're not about live-and-let-live; if you fail to educate yourself on all of these issues, you're not an ally.
You're one of the good ones, as far as I'm concerned. But don't kid yourself, the under-25 identity-politics crowd would not like you one bit. Their politics are not your politics. You think "i don't care, good for them" is good enough, and so do I. But they don't.

Sociology and Psychology are not new. There are many schools of thought. New ways of thinking and the terms that accompany them are created and evolve over time.
People denounce the progress of scientific theory all the time. I mean, some people want you to believe the world is flat. Some people say the world is only 3000 years old. Some people refuse to believe that humans are not causing global warming.
They are just terms to describe people where as that was not always the case. Who am I to deny any human being the right to exist and be addressed as they wish? Some people refuse to stop referring to black people as n1&&ers. Too extreme you say? How so? Along the way, other terms have become socially acceptable.
