OK, so yesterday I had some kind of office-meltdown because of a fucking shitty product called skype. I was always shit, but since MS acquired it, it is just plain fucking disgusting and annoying pile of rotten elephant shit.
I uninstalled, wiped all mentions in regedit, and decided to look for an alternative.
I was always an ICQ guy [it went shit too, but it was an option to use the very old (and good) versions] and it took lot of time to give up using ICQ and start using skype because everyone moved to it.
It is a must for me to use this crap somehow, and even I need to run two accounts at the same time [my own account and the GotPorn support as well].
So after getting rid of this shit called skype I started looking for a good 3rd party software which can handle skype accounts.
I asked for suggestions and soon I got two recommendations, Pidgin and Rambox
Pidgin I've heard of already, had to add some plugin to be able to add a skype account, but it did not fetch the existing logs, and combined the two account's buddy lists [might be possible to resolve]
Rambox I never heard of, but it seems to be the Perfect Replacement!
Setting up and adding the two accounts I have to use took 1 min, I see all my logs, it works flawlessly. So far so good
