my stupid answer on quora lol

from Quora - Why do we need to believe in some power that is beyond our imagination, something/someone that works miracles only at his own convenience?

Why do we need to believe in some power that is beyond our imagination?

-I have no issues with my relationships with god, I understand perfectly the nature of our relationship and everything is great *thumbs up

something/someone that works miracles only at his own convenience?

-as long as you identify god as an action figure with male reproductive organs and a written guarantee of acts to perfume… like ‘feed the hungry children in Africa’ that is not being performed up to your standards…

you’ll have these weird ideas and questions and thoughts about god…

the greatest gift from god to YOU is ‘YOUR FUCKING LIFE’ that you LIVE FUCKING EVERY DAY. if that’s not good enough for you… WTF can I say? you know?

have fun, be careful of things that go bump in the night… by the way, many phycologists agree that those with ‘god’ issues have issues with the authority figures in their life…

hey! how's your dad doing these days?

What do you understand about a relationship with a mythical being? Or a being thst you have had zero contact if not mythical. You are comfortable in your ignorance is all. That is not understanding.

I actually have no concerns about god, and to ask "believe there is a god?" implies more than casual disbelief on your part, it also implies a defined image or concept of god on your part, that I do not share with you.

I do not view God as a 'personality' with human attributes and 'divine powers'. that to me is a rather 'dated' conception. I choose to view God differently.

I guess I am trolling in a way... mostly to see if anyone will engage me in this area to 'fact check my thinking' not a clod obviously or a jerk off looking to try and shame someone to build ego to bolster their under organized interior landscape.

if that makes sense to you, that's what I'm doing, plus I'm forced to think clearly to understand my critics to see if they are right...

think of this: humanity started building cites in a 'flood plain' out of mud and straw as building materials because that's all there was. because that's where the land is fertile and the crops will grow!

the thing about a floodplain though... is the floods... yup. you build your shit out of mud and straw and the food comes... bang. your shit is washed away. life was hard.

after a bit, you kinda noticed that a few days before all your shit washed away, there was a storm in the mountains! that's where God lives, we need to stop pissing him off so our shit doesn't wash away again. Shazaam! priest are created and religion is born.

all of our current religions other than possibly Scientology were all 'intellectually, spiritually created' circa 500-300 BCE. religion or concepts of spirituality need to catch up if we are to proceed from this point on. in my opinion.

bronze age spirituality with digital technology and more = mismatch

We have a problem with creation.
How can a universe create itself?
                Who created God?
                Who created ultra-God?
                Who created Mega-ultra-god?
