Yeah, the first two Samurai X OAV's are good stuff.

My personal favorite is Serial Experiments Lain though. It's pretty fucked up. Very very good, it's not like traditional anime at all.

Only anime I ever saw which deals with depression. It's sort of a mind fuck in a way too. 13 episodes total.

Try the subtitled stuff instead of the translated stuff, and you might even pick up some japanese

Yah, when I watch video, I get subtitled. But when reading a manga I get the translated cuz I can only understand like half a dozen characters (IF!) and that makes it hard to read a story

Watashi wa sukebe! (or subeke, now I cant remember!)

Neon genesis was cool - very strange ending. Cowboy bebop is some fun shit... never saw any lane altho I heard it was good and weird...

I am reading on e series right now that is awesome but for some reason the name escapes me.. grr...
