      why do you think prisons are going bankrupt and over crowded?

          Marijuana should be decrimmed across the US that would cut it down big time.

          I read similar article except they specifically talked about how many marijuana users and non violent drug users are in prison, I notice the MSNBC article left all that out, no surprise.

                          Costs per year for a prison inmate average nearly $29,000
                          why? Because the average teacher barely makes that much, and many dont. Only in America, we are so wrroed about "foreigners taking our jobs" yet we spend more on inmates than we do students!

                          If you are spending more housing criminals than teaching your people, the nation is doomed to failure.

                                          There is no doubt that the so called "war on drugs" has resulted in needlessly incarcerating millions of non violent people. To make matters worse many of those people are so damaged by the process that they become dangerous as a result of their unnecessary incarceration. A real clusterfuck.
