I briefly listened when they showed it on TV, it sounded like they took her money, then said they didn't have any, then wouldn't give her money back, then she called the police.. why is this such a big deal right now anyways.

Edit: yeah looks like it, wtf is wrong with wanting your money back if they don't have what you paid for? Hello??

Actually if the read the article it is pretty outrageous. They took her order, collected her money, and then refused to give her a refund when they discovered they did not have any McNuggets. That is fucking nuts. Basically they just stole her money and said that there was nothing she could do about. If it had been me they would have had to call 911 to come and pick up the bloodied remains of the fucking cashier.

Welll they should not have taken her money, but you do not call 911. That is not an emergency. That is why police departments have non emergency numbers that you can call. An officer would have still came out.

filed a police report of the incident

called my lawyer

called the media

sued mcdonalds

sued the police department for arresting me

alot of places now 911 has replaced the local police phone numbers. i called the cops a couple months ago to report a lost dog that was wandering around my neighborhood and instead of going to the local dispatch desk like the number had for years, i was forwarded straight to 911.

felt a little embarrassed when the operator answered "hello, 911. what is your emergency?"

Actually all she had to do was call the police 1 time. Lodge the complaint on 911, give the cashiers name and try and get that person to say that they would not refund and that they had no nuggets. That gets recorded on 911. Tell them to please send an officer for a report. Get the managers name and cashiers name file the report, and hire an attorney.
