Definitely an abuse of power. I know if I were a cop and she did that I would have given her face the smacking of it's life... sort of like how the dog does to sylvester in those cartoons. But they beat the shit out of her like she was a man. I can't help but feel that harsh punishment is needed nowadays because people all think shit is sweet, but I still think it was a tad too much. To the retards who say fuck the police, there are way more good cops than bad cops, the bad cops just get all the publicity. Ask yourself when the last time you saw a news piece on cops doing their job or being heros. Would be about zero. Go ahead and argue they shouldnt get press for doing their job and you defeat your own argument by saying only bad cops should get news time, therefore creating an unavoidable bias.
The fact of the matter, 99% of people who hate the police from contact are either somewhere they shouldn't be, around someone they shouldn't be, doing something they shouldn't be, around someone doing something they shouldn't be, etc. I have lived in all kinds of cities and never once had a problem with the police because I conduct myself accordingly.
For those who hate cops, say fuck the police. I wish you could live in a world for 6 months where there is no form of law or law enforcement at all. Fact is, most wouldn't even be alive to see the end of those 6 months.

I know a few good cops, awesome people. but to say it's 1 in 100 cops are bad is way off. there's so many shithead cops out there. being an enforcer of the law should damn near be an elected position in my opinion, and police should be under public review. if you're going to be a shithead and hide behind your badge and gun, the public should have the power to raise their voice and if there's enough backing, kiss your badge goodbye.

Did some more local research on this. Deputy has been charged with 4th Degree assault and plead not guilty. He's had two other "violent altercations" in the past few years. In 2005, he fatally wounded a man after struggle on I-5. In 2002, he also shot a car theft suspect.
The girl was being held on car theft (she took the car of the woman she lived with who had then reported it stolen). Of course as a juvenile car theft, they typically just release them to their parents or guardian.Comment

I have several friends that are cops and can say that most cops are not that way. But every now and then you get a bad apple in the bunch. The good news is that this guy will never be a cop again.
