I fought my ass off in court, won, and my lawyer didn't bother to process the order..

I fought my ASS off to get an order to have some cunt pay me some money. Not a lot, but the POINT I was trying to make was much more important.

The judge said I was owed the money within a month, or else spend 30 consecutive days in jail.

I called my attorneys office 3 times over the last month asking why I hadn't got a copy of the order, which was to state that I was paid by February 20th or else. I was assured every time that it should be to me shortly.

I called today to ask what to do since the deadline was up and this piece of shit hadn't paid yet... and the assistant tells me I'm going to have to give the person more time because the judge didn't get the paperwork until TODAY.

WTF?!?!??!!

EVERYTHING I worked my ass off for - primarily, to make a point - was undone by this bullshit incompetency, or whatever the cause was.

What the hell should I do? I'm absolutely LIVID.

If it's truly something you will be upset about tomorrow, file a bar complaint. Don't do it if you ever want to use that lawyer again for anything though

Anyway...

I told the assistant that I expected a personal phone call from the attorney, and I expressed how upset I was. I also explained exactly how aware I was of who's fault this is - I'm so fucking pissed when I think about it I can hardly see straight.

I never expected to get the money, I just want to set a god damned precedent. The "cunt" in question is my child's mother, and she gets away with everything... including, now, not following a direct court order with clear cut penalties. So now, due to my lawyer being a fuckoff, she has further proof that she can jerk me around any way she wants and get away with it.

I don't know... the attorney is GOOD in court. I LOVE her in the courtroom - I mean, she got me - a single father - full custody, in the state of Wisconsin. Mom isn't a convicted felon, so that's almost unheard of here. Good dads get fucked all the time here, just because it's Wisconsin.

What will filing a complaint with the BAR do?

Hire a lawyer who specializes in legal malpractice to file the bar complaint and negotiate for the return of your legal fees.

Or you can just go on with your life and decide that fighting battles just leaves you drained. Why teach someone a lesson when its better to let them go on ripping people off, sooner or later they'll rip off someone who uses their own system of justice. Don't do them any favors!!! Thanks, that's what I did. I called today to find out why I hadn't received a personal call from the attorney and I was transferred to the assistant. the assistant informed me that since I don't seem to be happy with their services, they would be requesting to withdraw from the case.
