It's a documentary style series about some characters in the porn business that just started airing on Showtime. The same production company "World of Wonder" did a similar series on Showtime about Vivid's remake of the original "Debbie Does Dallas" movie over a year ago. In the first episode of this series, Steve Hirsch, the owner of Vivid Video, is trying to persuade Ray Pistol of Arrow Productions who owns the rights to "Deep Throat", to make a deal with him to let Vivid remake the movie. There are some cringe worthy moments in there, especially if you are old school enough to know some of these people! It's an interesting look behind the scenes of the off-line porn business.

I was talking about the Showtime series not the Vivid movies themselves. As far as Vivid and their movies, it depends on how you look at it. They do huge revenue numbers, I think tens of millions per year. They show Steve Hirsch's house, office, car, wife and private plane in the first episode. "Shitty porn" doesn't pay for all of that stuff!Comment

Just caught the show for the first time last night.
Made it look like regular people that just happen to be working in the adult industry. I remember seeing Evan Stone, Penny Flame and Sasha Grey stopping by Hirsch's house while his wife was in the kitchen and his kids were running around.

I'm sure we'll start getting it here in Canada in like 2011. And it will re-run for 3 years after that. They are still showing (and promoting) the Debbie Does Dallas Again series. It kinda got old after the 3rd time I saw it.Anyone wanna sig spot.......cheap????Comment

lol.. it's a "reality" show with the same acting skills you see in any porn, cheezy and fake as hell. the whole thing is set up, every argument and conversation is practiced. No one can seem to keep a straight face and although I am sure the normal Joe Schmoe will enjoy it, I doubt this will be as popular as Adam's show on showtime was.Comment
