i don't think i've ever seen this play done this way before - the actual goal is nothing amazing, he's sliding into the goalie on the seat of his pants, he's perfected that already - it's what he does at center ice to get past the defenceman - incredible.

I think it is the intensity end to end is what is so amazing because break every part down and it is not that special - a poke check, a tight turn, a break away, the sliding shot from a nine mile skid on a ten mile track - but add em all up and the sum is much greater than the parts. Ovechkin can play with me and my beer budies and still score 50 goals and have 50 assists. Crosby is all about 2nd assists and PP points on #1 PP unit in NHL..Comment
