    Remember When James Clapper Categorically Denied Any Wiretap Against Trump Campaign?

    Why in the world would the mainstream media continue to take James Clapper seriously?

    In March the former Director of National Intelligence under President Barack Obama appeared on Meet the Press to respond to President Donald Trump?s now-infamous tweets regarding a ?wiretap? related to his campaign during the Obama Administration. Host Chuck Todd asked Clapper point-blank whether any wiretap had occurred:

    But I will say that, for the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against? the president elect at the time, or as a candidate, or against his campaign. I can?t speak for other Title Three authorized entities in the government or a state or local entity.

                                                  Your link is referring to another link which refers to an anonymous source who claimed the surveillance stopped "sometime last year" but that he wasn't under surveillance in June and "It is unclear when the new warrant started."

                                                  Pretty much it's a guessing game reported as fact. Even your source quoting a source quoting an anonymous source says the investigation stopped and then restarted. All of said sources conveniently left out the Podesta Group .

                                                      This Manafort investigation involves his work in Ukraine over a 10+ year period working as a political consultant and potential money laundering through the US.

                                                      Ultimately, they are making an example of him for working for the anti-NATO party.

                                                                                                      Yes they do.. its very common for indictments to be sealed ready to go while a large investigation is taking place. Its almost 100% certian Manafort was indicted at or near the time his offices were raided. They just wont serve it until they are ready to arrest him.. Same with Flynn..
