If there are few job for Americans, why allow illegal migrants and their children to compete for them?
Automation and globalisation as creating a devastating effect on many Americans. The effects of automation are starting to remove more jobs, why fill the job market with illegals. Children become 18 and want to work, like their parent become 65 and want to retire, then 75 and need care. What's the sense in allowing in more than you can employ?
Then there's the situation of crime. More poor, more crime. One follows the other. Then housing, are there enough empty houses in the US? Next is healthcare, low paid get Medicare can you pay more taxes to support them?
And lastly, we have tax revenues. Trillions have been lost from tax revenues by cutting wages. Maybe if your taxes were raised to reflect the money lost from low wage families you will feel better.
