I love cops... I respect every officer on the beat.. the utmost respect.. they put their lives on the line everyday for us.... those who think im disrespectful crazy blah blah... they just see what I type.. they don't know me.... I am a helper...

franck let me ask you....

and all bullshit aside just think of this scenario

your mother is in a car accident im a block away medical is 3 miles away... your mother is critical bleeding profusly from a head injury... do you want

a: some idiot by stander that was 2 cars back who knows nothing to stop and "render aid"
B. Let her bleed and hope medical reaches her in time

or

C.. let a first responder (yes there is such a thing those who are first responders know what I'm talking about) make it to the scene and render proper aid, stabilize and ready the victum for transport

it's not a tough choice brother... you may think im crazy but the family of the person who I stabilized thinks im a saint

none that I know of.... but im just using an example...

you take it over board....

you make it sound like I listen to the scanner for calls like domestic calls and race to the house and see if I can calm the situation before cops get there... it's not like that at all

im hands on for 401 a, b, and c's I keep my distance for most anything else and observe I like to watch...

I have how ever done some other calls where I just so happen to beat cops to a 407 and we can hold a suspect but thats rare and few and far between... fact only once LOL

you know you guys can say and think what you want it really does not turn me to much I have fun... scanners are fun to listen to specally once you learn the code weather it be the 10 code the 200 code the 400 code what ever your area uses....

you guys make it so much more than it is cause of one thread I said I carry a police scanner and respond to calls...

the only calls id resond to in my old age are accident calls where people are hurt and the vehicles have strobes on em so it's great for traffic control... ive never once had a prob...

I had an officer once walk up walked by the h2 all strobed up and then like stepped back looked again... walked by and was like

"nice truck" then we left...

here in las vegas we have

tom units which is traffic.. all accidents and tickets.. then you got beat cops like robert units DP units, all the others.. so sometimes the responding officer to a call could be 30 min away like no joke ....

yes I know they do not want people interfering with business... we don't interfere once they get there we leave... more like a first responder....

maybe what I said in that thread was taken out of context...

but anyone here who has stopped to help at an accident scene before help and officers arrived are guilty of doing excatly what I do every now and again... I been to busy latley...

you guys picture me all swat vest... fucking MP5 in my hand.. fucking cuffs all over...

you realize that even if you pull your gun out on a dude running from the cops, he still has just as much of a right to defend himself from you as someone who had nothing to do with the situation defending themselves? youre just a citizen pulling a gun out on another citizen, his situation isn't an imminent threat to you and you have no right to point a gun at him

btw, if my mother was in a car accident and there was you there or the cops - id wait for the cops. youd leave her paralyzed or some dumb shit like that because you really believe you know what youre doing when in reality just by looking at what youre doing its obvious that you are at least a little bit insane

you aren't trained for that and even if you think you are trained for that you really aren't. paramedics go to school to do what they do, not attend a 3 day course on vigilante medics

dont kid yourself man, what you do is dumb, if you like it so much then become a paramedic or a cop, your scanner and 3 day courses are nothing compared to a life time of experience or a real school and the worst part of it all is you could actually really hurt someone either with your gun and false sense of authority or your first aid kit and false sense of being a substitute paramedic

OMG I love my police scanner. I don't go to the scene though, but there are times where it has been very tempting.

One thing I think is funny is on TV on COPS they always catch the bad guy who is running, but when I'm listening to my scanner the guy almost always gets away during the foot chase.

You make it sound like i listen to the scanner for calls like domestic calls and race to the house and see if i can calm the situation before cops get there... It's not like that at all

im hands on for 401 a, b, and c's i keep my distance for most anything else and observe i like to watch...

I have how ever done some other calls where i just so happen to beat cops to a 407 and we can hold a suspect but thats rare and few and far between... Fact only once lol

but what a great time...... I got some good stories franck you'd prolly like
