I was a fan of the originals. I have recorded all the new episodes so far on my planner but not had a chance to sit through them yet because of family stuff. I spend most of my days in a hospital these past few weeks.

I will be watching them all though. Heard it's crazy as ever, but that's what made the originals so good...

        I haven't started watching.

I love the creativity and originality of the original Twin Peaks. It was epic for me. But I didn't like being intellectually fucked with, with the storyline. He was trying too hard to be too unpredictable and it showed in my opinion. So I'm waiting a bit to start the new one and avoiding all spoilers

The "Twin Peaks" bar in Vegas was pretty cool.

I felt very nostalgic having a beer in there. My wife never understood it at all

            (No Spoilers)

To me, "Fire Walk with me" was the ultimate "Twin Peaks", because it had everything, and was directed by David Lynch.

The original Twin Peaks series had some episodes directed by Lynch, but many were not, and it was easy to see the difference.

The new Twin Peaks is ALL LYNCH. Here's what I see, and why I think you will like it.

            - Every episode is directed by David Lynch.
            - It looks great. It's shot on a new camera (but I forgot the name).
            - The sound design is David Lynch too.
            - All the characters are still there and played by the original actors.
            - 1 Character is very different. (No spoilers!)
            - Some incredible L O N G shots, minutes long sometimes, are are both funny and create anticipation at the same time.
            - Lots of stars, Lots of Cameos.
            - The story is no longer confined to Twin Peaks, and now includes NY, LV and other places.
            - The music is great.
            - I'm 5 episodes in and I already want to re-watch them all.
            - The violence is fucking violent. Not to be watched with the kiddies..
            - It's also S L O W, but that's a good thing.

Watch it and enjoy the insanity.

Loved his movies. Fire Walk with Me is my favourite. Then again, Blue Velvet is so, so good too. Hated Dune. Never saw Eraserhead.

Seriously though...are you actually trying to say his two most critically acclaimed movies aren't great?
