All he had to do was meet with a victim and say "I'm sorry this happened to you" and "We stand with you" or "the nation stands with you" and offer up some solutions such as "I talked to members of Congress and we are putting together an aid package". But instead he talked about how large the crowd was.
This man isn't a leader at all. This was so simple. And he failed. Again. This has been eight months of fail.

When he tweets things like that he gets abused. If he did actually say that today he would still have got abused.
Fact is it wouldn't matter what he said or did today, reaction would have been the same...
