The greatest irony of "health concerns" in the USA and Western world, in general, is that sugar, added sugars in food and our ever increasing consumption of sugar is 100% responsible for a massive number of health problems causing Trillions in unnecessary costs and lost productivity. Diabetes alone costs the USA over 250 Billion a year - never mind the never ending cascade of health complications which are THE DIRECT HEALTH COST of decreasing fat and increasing simple carbs in a diet... as Western governments have been telling people to do for 1/2 a century.

I'm all for universal healthcare.... but not when we advertise and market sugar to kids, engineer food to be as addictive as possible and tell people fat is not healthy. Our health care system is already on an unsustainable course... and we're not even having the right discussion on the right topic to do anything about it.
