The kids have to keep the baby for 48 hours.. and one of those nights, the baby cries almost all night. HUGELY successful tool. My son, and his friend were shaken for weeks. Great eye opener - and I know will greatly impact their drive to only have protected sex.

Does the program work? I wouldnt think those babies have much of an impact at all long term. Its like educating people on the dangers of smoking, drinking and drugs everyone knows the risks.

First of all, the boy doesn't look like he's even entered puberty. Secondly, why on earth would his own parents agree to those publicity photos if money were not a factor?

And most importantly of all, did his parents just blindly take the word of this girl and her family that he was the father, and not have a DNA test?

I intend to put the fear of God about sex into my youngest on just like I did my oldest. I told him that he was ready to have sex when he was ready to be a father, that he should never, ever rely on a girl to be in charge of birth control, and that if he needed assistance in that area I would follow him around and put the condom on him myself. I think that scarred him.

This story is sad, on lots of levels.

Edit: As an aside, that gothish looking bbw chick is hot for that niche. Too bad she doesn't have a paysite.

Point taken, though I worded it poorly.

What is more accurate is that I intend to put the fear of irresponsible actions into them. I tell them that sex is great, natural, and nothing to be ashamed of.

But that it is for adults, because it comes with adult responsibilities, and that they shouldn't have it until they are prepared to have a child.

I'm big on ramming the whole consequences-for-their-actions thing into their head.

Yeah there is a difference between making your child scared of sex forever and making them very aware of the consequences. My parents did a pretty good job of the second though I am sure they wouldn't have been too upset if they had done the first since they are very religious. It helped that I did a lot of that myself because I very closely followed the AIDS crisis as it was unfolding as a kid/teen and so that put me off taking a lot of risks too.

I love sex as an adult but at 12 or 13..no way.
