So truth is that the girlfriend (minor right?) said the door was propped open by a brick - so it was not locked nor had she checked. Also propped open by a brick would typically mean the door was open 3-4 inches which you kind of may notice.
Still see no reason to even bring up the number of registered sex offenders within 5 miles. I would lay odds on it being someone either they know or a family issue.Comment

Closest "child offender" to my home is 4.8 miles (not even in the same zip code) - the conviction was "Attempted sexual assault on a child (2006)"
Next child one is 17.7 miles away - conviction was "Contributing to the delinquency of a minor: factual basis - sex offense (2003)."

I have an alarm and I had hubby put up those "hotel type" locks, the ones where you can open the door about 3/4 inches. My 4 yr old, once let the church ladies in while I was running the vaccum, the vaccum is built into the walls, so it's pretty loud.
I'am really nervous about people, I was once running a dog outside and some serial killer lokking guy tried to grab me, this was 7 yrs ago....but still freaky! I don't trust anyone.
I hope they find this little girl alive, if she was taken by some sicko...as the hour's go by the less chance they have of finding her. I will talk to my husband and see if I can take some gun classes, I hate feeling like I wouldn't have a chance if anyone ever got into the house.Comment

I think the 17 year old girl was completely cheating on the boyfriend.
She's changed her story about the location of the child, twice now. The father passed his polygraph and was told, "passed." The 17 year old girl was told that they could not conclusively confirm deception.
A 17 year old that is publicly smoking on TV... and wearing those wannabe gangster walmart hoodies on the news... is not going to want to be left alone in the night. She said the kids went to bed at 8:30. I highly doubt that. Most of those white trash, trailer park homes do not have structure like that for the children. She said SHE went to bed at 10.... She doesn't strike me as the, "In bed at 10" kinda woman.
The guy seems like he may be trying to get his life together... in the most fucked up white trash kinda way..
But that chick is bad news.

A group of his peers drew a picture and no one would own up to it..so they charged one of the kids with this shit. If the prosecuting attorney gets his way, the kid will be put away and made to be a registered sex offender.
