                                                              This however was someone who added an msn of someone who is underage and then proceeded to spam them with internet pornography.

                                                              This is an issue.

                                                                                  Harvesting for info is pretty ruthless. The localized page from AFF is showing a girl that I KNOW is underage for example (I know this because her pictures were sent to us for our model casting, along with her hi5 address by a "friend" of hers, her profile didn't have her age displaying, but all her friends were 13-14 and there were other pictures of her in school )

                                                                                  It really worries me what effects this can have down the line.

                                                                                                          A certain well known adult company already contributed to getting the user controlled chat section shut down after a reporter saw the suspicious sounding room names in that area.

                                                                                                          They were creating room names that implied underage and using the welcome message feature to include a hard link to the straight teen & gay twink email collection sites in their program. They also had bots in these same rooms with links to their email sites in the profiles, and there were no affiliate ID's in any of these links either. Affiliate spammers use gateway pages anyway, so all things put together this was definitely the program themselves doing this.

                                                                                                          This company is no stranger to billing practice drama, but I had already decided years ago when I saw the chatroom thing that I would NEVER touch them.

                                                                                                          I always wished I had taken screen caps, but since I didn't there is no way I'm naming them. Maybe others here saw the same thing I did.

                                                                                                                          SPIM is far less sophisticated than you may think. It's really not hard at all to ccreate your own simple chatbot like this for any of the major IM providers if you have had a push in the right direction. Even the most braindead person canhave thisworking with 15-20 minutes of reading.

                                                                                                                          Though there are people who have introduced some extremely advanced IM bots working off markov chains or rendtions of the old Eliza bots, the one you are seeing in this example is super simple...

                                                                                                                                      Blacklist the address/IP/name/account/epass etc...
