Uhm if they were instructed by lawyers they simply wouldn't say anything. I don't think what they are doing now (which is creating a new story on every page) is approved by any laywer.
And there won't be any investigation because none of these companies wants that sort of attention.Comment

Stop trying to give yourself more credit than is due. DJ says 'we cleaned up our join page', Shawn says 'That guy's name is the person who used to do our domain registration.' You've still said they're full of shit, and lying.. and you've provided no proof.Uhm if they were instructed by lawyers they simply wouldn't say anything. I don't think what they are doing now (which is creating a new story on every page) is approved by any laywer.
And there won't be any investigation because none of these companies wants that sort of attention.
I did actually just request your ban. I'll probably be dormant again, but just knowing you'll have to lose your name made this whole waste of an evening worthwhile to me.
It's a finable offense for MC, so I think nobody trades MC crosses anymore; Visa has no official ruling that I am aware of at this time. Illegal, no. Expensive to keep doing, yes. The merchant can also be defined as the processor (NetBilling, CCBill, etc).Last edited by GrouchyAdmin; 02-10-2009, 05:54 PM.Comment

This would be why in the last month Mastercard has banned sending info between merchantsIf the adult industry is really sending card holder information between different merchants. And I'm right that this is illegal. Then this business is long down the drain and these companies information need to be sent to the authorities and not just "called out" on GFY or other boards.

Since this got missed on page 4
Isn't this illegal? I thought both Visa and Mastercard specifically state you cannot share/distribute card holder information between different merchants.Again, I will attempt to explain this in as tiny of words as possible.
Card goes into Site A with cross sales opted in.
Site A sends charges for Site A on Site A merchant, also to Site B's merchant.
Site B charges on Site B's merchant, because they are Site B.
Tomorrow, Class, we will cover Subtraction, Addition's tricky pal.
If someone signs up for site A. They can legally be charged for site B,C,D,E - so long as those sites use the same merchant account. When you purchase something through one merchant you are only agreeing to pay that merchant and that merchant cannot legally send your information to a different merchant for processing. - That is basically sharing credit card information and that is illegal. Just because you are a merchant, you don't have rights to anyone and everyone's credit card information.
Say a legit company like Comcast had a deal with Best Buy. You buy something at Best Buy, you get one month free at Comcast. Best Buy's merchant cannot take card holder information from the Best Buy transaction and give it to Comcast's merchant. If they're on two different merchant accounts, Best Buy would give you some sort of coupon or direction to go directly to Comcast's merchant and provide your info. From THERE you would technically sign up for the free month, and provide credit card info.
- Actually I recall best buy doing this with magazine subscriptions a while back. When you signed up for the free subscriptions. You got your free subscriptions and at the end of the free cycle, you received purchase information from the magazine directly. You then have to manually give the magazine company's merchant your credit card information. It was legal for Best Buy to give the magazine company your "personal" info with your opt in. It was not legal for Best Buy to give the magazine company your credit card info.
If the adult industry is really sending card holder information between different merchants. And I'm right that this is illegal. Then this business is long down the drain and these companies information need to be sent to the authorities and not just "called out" on GFY or other boards.

Is it not credit card fraud though?

Wow DJ, you must feel like a real hero when you go to bed at night knowing that you acted like a little bitch to make your money.
Sweet dreams, bitch.Comment

Not any more than the bank offering you a free trial to their new services and charging you $15 for it the next month. As long as they tell you what the charge is for, and it falls within the rules and regulations of the card company AND the processing banks, it's legit.Comment

HOLY FUCK THAT WAS HARD TO FIND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAGE AND THERES A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AND STUFF TOO.

Do you see that Deej, even people who aren't even interested in what's going on notice your bullshit. It's really not hard to see btw since you say something different in every other post.

It's not the same. If you, in person sign up for something at your bank, or through your bank and they charge you for it through their merchant account. Not any more than the bank offering you a free trial to their new services and charging you $15 for it the next month. As long as they tell you what the charge is for, and it falls within the rules and regulations of the card company AND the processing banks, it's legit.
That is you buying something at Bank A, and then buying an upsell from Bank A. Bank A can sell as many Bank A products to you as they'd like. That's not the same in any way to what is happening here.
And looking through some of this stuff. It specifically states, it has to be billed from the same MERCHANT ACCOUNT, not the processor. The merchant account and the processor are two totally different things.
- Straight from ECHO's site
^ http://www.echo-inc.com/abcs-credit-...rocessing.html# You, the merchant, obtain your "Merchant Account" from a "Sponsoring Bank" or an "Acquiring Bank" (both referred to as "Merchant Banks"). Merchant banks "sponsor" you as a business qualified to accept credit cards.
# "Processors" are companies such as ECHO that process the credit card transactions through the bank system for you. Merchant banks use us as a third-party service

The hotel room was ok. I only got stuck there that night, he stayed another day or so I think lol. I actually tried to get him a flight out instead of me, cause I didn't mind staying another day or two. lol I felt bad. Think I paid for the hotel for the next night for him too. lol
He was sitting in the stupid 8 mile long line at the airport where no one was giving us any info. He looked lost. I knew I wasn't about to sleep on the airport floor, and found out there was no plans of them getting anyone out of there that day. Tica time. lol So I asked him to come along.Comment

Like someone else mentioned on the other board: He will be the next rogue employee when they need one.
Omg...will he feel bad thinking about how he lied for them for 10 bucks a hour and that no other company will want to work with him anymore

Although I will admit to using a weak example for a lack of thinking of anything else at the time, I still disagree. That is a processor's statement of what they regard as their termination - and what defines a merchant account? It's obviously not a single MID. Not every processor holds that belief, and there has been no official statement. It's not the same. If you, in person sign up for something at your bank, or through your bank and they charge you for it through their merchant account.

As much as you'd like to correlate a ton of statements, none of which are in direct relation to eachother, you can not squeeze dirt and get a diamond. Once again. DJ's official statement was "We cleaned up our join pages", and the other guy said "That's the name of the guy who used to register our domains."We worked with these people

Just saw original topic. So WHAT did you clean up? If I were you I would stop posting. Just look stupid there and you look stupid here. The thread was so juicy on JBM because you were in there and 3/4 of the others in there are Brads friends and associates. How else is he going to drive traffic to his board? Hype up something on his board. Drama queens.
Please stop making false accusations against us.Comment

okay, this is just my opinion, but good-got-fucking-damn you are such a brown nosing asskisser it's almost surreal. In the real world this would make you the bitch.
seriously? how does this prove that back in january, when PRdave visited this page, that it looked like it does today?HOLY FUCK THAT WAS HARD TO FIND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAGE AND THERES A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL AND STUFF TOO.
So, now I add PR Dave to my "imbicle" list as well.
honestly, I don't like Franck, and normally think he's an asshole and a troll. but I feel he's right to be wondering what the fuck is going on, and I see, from my outsider's perspective, that he's right that you guys sound like you are all full of shit.
nothing but non answers, and "read what he said" evasive, avoidant, bullshitting.
this is all just my opinion, as well.
fusebox, you usually stand out as the type that actually works for himself, makes and sells porn, and basically doing it right... it's kind of odd seeing you in this thread appearing to stick up for archivecash, et.al.
grouchyadmin... basically the same for you, except coding instead of porn... I've never thought of you as someone who had an agenda or allegiances to any company, yet here you came into this thread guns blazing, vehemently defending archivecash, et.al weird to me
BVF... I'm with you on this:
My sentiments, exactly.Look man, I don't really give a fuck what you do as you cannot affect my business.....However, you sound like you're full of shit....
The End....
Also... based on the 'schooling' we've received on how cross sell work by grouchy and fusebox... cross sells are just way too convenient of a fucking way out of ANY accusations of any credit card wrongdoings. Jesus christ on a fucking popsicle stick, how the hell can a practice with ZERO accountability be allowed by law? "It's how cross sells work... It's all based on trust..." WTJesusF? seriously, this is ok with the credit card companies?
watching this industry implode is so fascinating to me.Comment
