Would you call this admitting you committed credit card fraud?

He has nothing to prove, you jackass. Someone signed up with someone else's credit card. That never, ever, ever happens in this industry.. and holy shit, they defrauded a well known program to do it.. and that program not only gets the chargeback, but shit on. I love this fucking industry.Comment
-
So what are you saying? That PR_Daves card got stolen and used to buy a membership at your program? If I signed up to one of your paysites with a stolen credit card, could I accuse you of banging stolen credit cards?
The fact is someone was exploiting the trust between programs to double charge members and charge stolen credit cards, while sneaking those in with legit charges so they were impossible to detect. It's over now, all those companies learned their lessons, the parties who don't want to work together anymore are not.Comment

I'd probably start in more obvious places, like checking the trash for the wrapper. The only person I see who'd gladly crawl up your ass with no shred of proof is our resident nutbag here.Comment

Everyone by now can see it's a huge clusterfuck with many people and many companies involved and it's clear noone is gonna spill the beans.
I'm happy with the way this thread went. It did exactly what i hoped for. Archivecash telling lies and bullshit and basically showing everyone what a crap is going on there.
In 1 post they admit making mistakes, the other they did they didn't. 1 post they are not involved with other companies, the other they are. Everyone is telling a different story, theyre mentioning names of people that are from movies, a rogue employee or 2, roboform and the list goes on and on and on...I think nobody can deny anymore (besides the people involved directly in this shit as they are full of shit) that this is as shady as it can get. All the proof is in this thread.
I'm done for now.
I'll bump it a few times later if i don't get banned.Last edited by Dirty F; 02-10-2009, 05:28 PM.Comment

Please sir, help me understand.
Here are the facts:
- PR_Dave's credit card got banged by www.yourtech101.com
- yourtech101.com belongs to www.archivecash.com
Seems pretty much straightforward.Comment

Ah shit, I don't remember. Those were awesome. It was the second casado place across from the US Embassy. The chicken place around the corner was a lot tastier, though.Comment

I don't know about any relationship with these companies but I can, from reading and basic understanding, come up with these few points.
1. There was a xsell setup between I$ and ArchiveCash
2. A (possible?) fraudulent charge was made to ArchiveCash by I$
3. Since there is no system to validate whether a sale from a xsell is legit or not, it went through.
4. PRDave posts that he got nailed by ArchiveCash (of course, the xsell ...)
Now, as far as DJ saying that ArchiveCash made mistakes and are cleaning up, I can only assume by the points I came up with that:
1. ArchiveCash realized the shady relationship
2. ArchiveCash is not allowing the xsells, hence, the "cleaning up".
I could be wrong. I could be right, but Frank, you should consider providing proof that they banged PRDaves card outside of the xsell, rather than requesting they prove they did not.Comment

HERE ARE THE FACTS:

What bullshit? You're now saying that PR_Dave's credit card got stolen and was used to buy a membership at Archivecash.com (wow, what a councidence!)I have spoke with the owner of Archive Cash and he let me know that the person responsible for this bullshit has been removed from the company.
So what are you apologising for and what was the 'rogue employee' fired for?Comment

Even if this is right why refuse to tell this? The only thing i can see is that Dave got charges from THEIR domain. If that isn't the case and I$ is behind this for some reason why don't they show this to us?I don't know about any relationship with these companies but I can, from reading and basic understanding, come up with these few points.

I don't really know the details here, but I'd guess based on the type of responses that they were instructed not to by their lawyers.Comment

How can I$ be responsible for this if Dave's card GOT BANGED BY ARCHIVECHASH.COM?Comment

Isn't this illegal? I thought both Visa and Mastercard specifically state you cannot share/distribute card holder information between different merchants.Again, I will attempt to explain this in as tiny of words as possible.
Card goes into Site A with cross sales opted in.
Site A sends charges for Site A on Site A merchant, also to Site B's merchant.
Site B charges on Site B's merchant, because they are Site B.
Tomorrow, Class, we will cover Subtraction, Addition's tricky pal.
If someone signs up for site A. They can legally be charged for site B,C,D,E - so long as those sites use the same merchant account. When you purchase something through one merchant you are only agreeing to pay that merchant and that merchant cannot legally send your information to a different merchant for processing. - That is basically sharing credit card information and that is illegal. Just because you are a merchant, you don't have rights to anyone and everyone's credit card information.
Say a legit company like Comcast had a deal with Best Buy. You buy something at Best Buy, you get one month free at Comcast. Best Buy's merchant cannot take card holder information from the Best Buy transaction and give it to Comcast's merchant. If they're on two different merchant accounts, Best Buy would give you some sort of coupon or direction to go directly to Comcast's merchant and provide your info. From THERE you would technically sign up for the free month, and provide credit card info.
- Actually I recall best buy doing this with magazine subscriptions a while back. When you signed up for the free subscriptions. You got your free subscriptions and at the end of the free cycle, you received purchase information from the magazine directly. You then have to manually give the magazine company's merchant your credit card information. It was legal for Best Buy to give the magazine company your "personal" info with your opt in. It was not legal for Best Buy to give the magazine company your credit card info.
If the adult industry is really sending card holder information between different merchants. And I'm right that this is illegal. Then this business is long down the drain and these companies information need to be sent to the authorities and not just "called out" on GFY or other boards.
