It's only hurtful to a person who finds out they're a polygamist by accident. That person will always be a girl, because isn't that always the arrangement? Always a guy and a bunch of women, because there is no guy on earth who wants to share a woman.
Maybe I'm oversimplifying this, but any guy would love an arrangement where he gets to fuck multiple women on a rotating basis, but the reason why it ultimately sucks boils down to a simple equation:
