Chio isn't the reason my reputation got smashed on GFY, though. I did that to myself by my actions and the people I chose to trust and include in my ventures.
But you're right ... the statute of limitations is surely up, but it would have been a good thing to pursue at the time.
Every time I get into my Viper, I think of Chio's tan Ford Expedition. I have a picture of it (well, I have a picture of the front of his house, and the car is there, too), and it cracks me up every time. Success is the best revenge, really.Comment

I hope you get your money tomorrow, but as a guy who heard the "I'll pay you tomorrow" song and dance for a LONG time with this guy ... I worry.
If it's a small amount, it might happen, but I wouldn't expect any "big" payments.

my only comment on the abp thing was i bought it thinking it updated blogger as it was adveritised as such,.. however after purchasing found out, it in fact no longer supported blogger
i thought that kind of sucked but wrote it off as lack of my own self and finding out if it worked as sold, and not asking beforeheand, however, it was advertised as working with blogger... so I don't blame myself.

He kept saying what he's apparently been saying to people now: "I'll pay soon," "the check is in the mail," etc, etc. He justified not paying the other guy because after MONTHS of not being paid, the other guy stopped coding, and Chio was like "Oh, he forfeits everything now" .. so I didn't want that to happen to me. Life lesson. But thanks for pointing out what you pointed out ... I didn't think his reading comprehension could be so low, but then I remembered the source, right?
You're kidding yourself if you don't think that thing sold a lot of copies. I remember one month alone over $20,000. Think about it: that's only 67 copies to get to $20,000 ... I think it sold 30+ the first day it was announced ... a LOT of people here have it ... and GFY isn't the only place it was sold. I know a bunch of people here who had tons of affiliate sales for it, too (some of them even got paid). It's a LOT of money .. and he kept it all, didn't support anyone, and now it isn't updated.
I'm happy people like Brujah (although I have him on ignore, I assume he's still around) scammed him by getting refunds then keeping in on their server long afterwards ... karma at its finest.Comment

I don't personally have any issues with Brujah. He didn't scam me, since I didn't get paid anyway. He used to come into threads talking random shit about me, but I put him on ignore long ago. The only reason I mentioned him was I couldn't think of the names of the other people who asked for refunds or did charge-backs then left the software running on their servers.
I wish Brujah the best, and if he wanted to bury whatever hatchet he has with me, he should feel free to contact me via ICQ and I'd be happy to see if there's something we can do together.

RE: Problems regarding payments
As you may or may not know there have been some issues with our ACH payment system. Our ACH Merchant Gateway has now just announced that they will no longer be able to process any ACH transactions (Credit, Debit, or Merchant Settlements). You can follow this link (https://gateway.allianceach.com/update.pdf) for the letter I received from them today.
The problem with them started in January but there was hope that it would be fixed. Unfortunately it appears it will not happen.
What this means for you. If you are not using our ACH system you are not affected by this and you can disregard this message. If you are using our ACH system you will need to select another payout method on your acct. Wire is the obvious solution, but if you prefer we can offer payouts via Paypal as well until a new ACH solution is found.
I regret the problems this may have caused for you and thank you for your patience in this matter.

I hope not. It's no one's business what the problems were, in my opinion. We don't even know if the payment issues were caused by any problems he may or may not be having. If those personal problems (if they exist) affected the business such that payments weren't made, then that's a valid issue .. but I don't think it's anyone's business what they actually WERE.
Chio is the only person that should be posting that kind of thing, and only if he chooses to do so. Some of us can guess at what they are, from knowing him, and it's a situation that even someone of your moral fiber would probably feel bad about prying into.
I personally don't think he "owes" any explanation to anyone besides VC webmasters, and only to the extent that he didn't pay what was owed on time, not the "personal" reason why.
I think I've said enough about this.
