You really can't go wrong with a Darren Aronofsky film plus, having Clint Mansell scoring it. I want to see the Fountain. Even though, it has lots of negative feedback.

I enjoyed it but I think without him it wouldn't have been as good. So, he gets top marks for me but the film as a whole gets slightly less. Still good though.
To get some off time.. hubby and I have been doing photos, promotion, webdesign, character development, printing.. the whole shebang.. for a few local wrestling promotions around here... and the movie was SPOT on to the real deal.. with the pain, depression, and lifestyle... The level of self importance that these men really do build themselves up into... all for a $100/week job is amazing. I've never seen people so lowly paid or so... I don't want to say classless... but, it's like they're their own little rockstars in their own little blue collar world...
the movie was a great representation of that lifestyle... they live in their own little bubbles.
I can hoestly say that I haven't seen even ONE good movie with Mickey which means that I'll wait for 6000 people to tell me that this movie is any good before even considering watching it
I don't like Mickey in real life. He had agreed to be at some WWE ppv event and then when the movie was more successful than he anticipated he canceled. I'm not a WWE or wrestling fan but that is a bitch move and he has made many in his life.

The Fountain is fucking fantastic. One of the best films i've ever seen.
The negative feedback must be coming from some uneducated idiots.

Come on now, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro man is a classic

Darren is one of the few directors I actually follow, I have enjoyed every one of his films. As for the bad reviews on The Fountain, it was not meant for simpletons for a multitude of reasons. The higher your IQ, the more you will appreciate this film.

I think that sums it pretty much up. But to add a bit on it, I think it was also the story of a sad one trick pony.
