celandina, why would you care if your alexa number is lower ?? It really has no meaning any longer! The only thing that a webmaster should be concerned with is the ratio of dollars that site generates, divided by the visitors to your site !!
And for the record, I was pointing out the easiest method to improve alexa rank which is what 90% of the people out there do that claim to lower alexa ranks. I would never recommend that someone actually use that method to do such a thing
As I stated it will harm your search engine rankings as your bounce rate will go thru the roof.
