Depends upon the circumstances.

If you are a true newbie, just started in this biz i the last couple of months well then post count does have a bit to do with it.

In other words if you had been around posting for the last year or so you might have developed relationships biz/personal that you could use.

But today if you jumped into GFY had 50 posts and virtually no name in this biz and stated you had an idea and needed people to invest a bunch of cash you would probably get nothing but the brush off.

Even if you posted a serious question you migt be lucky to get an answer.

Now let's say you're a marginal player who has been in this business for the past 3 years.

You decide to register at GFY and you use a nick that doesn't really inform the masses who you are.

You come on the board and start up posts, you might catch some of the heat.

In fact I've seen threads where people who've been in this biz maybe a year call a veteran a noob *based on post count* and then someone posts later who they really are, and the real noob realizes his/her mistake.

But overall I think people will judge you on your board behaviour...regardless of how many posts you have or don't have.
