It's looking like the Republican is going to win this one. If I were the Democrats I would be sad that they lost and that they spent a huge amount of money, but the result was still pretty good for them. That seat has been Republican since 1979. Since 2000 the Republican has won every election by at least 30 points. That this was even close should make Dems happy that they can make some inroads in 2018, although that is still a long way off and anything could happen.
BTW. RealClearPolitics showed three polls in the last few days before the election that showed them within a few points of each other or tied. Their final RCP average gave Handel +.2. They have had the race within the margin of error for several days.
